Homeopathy at The Poppy Practice
Homeopathy is a complementary medicine for physical, mental and emotional ailments at all stages of life.
It is a gentle yet effective medicine which causes no side effects and is safe for use at all stages in life including babies and children, and there are many useful remedies for the huge variety of ailments we all inevitably experience as we live life. It treats the whole person (so is holistic) as an individual.
Homeopathy may be used to treat many common ailments that people experience throughout their lives as a result of everyday experiences such as the stress of work, relationships, parenthood, surgery and loss. It can also be very helpful in dealing with cases of trauma and abuse. It works on all levels of health - mental, physical and emotional.
People seek help for all sorts of symptoms, including eczema, asthma, hayfever, grief, menstrual and gynaecological problems, complications from surgery, pregnancy and childbirth, acute infections such as tonsillitis and cystitis, recurring ailments like colds, arthritis, depression, digestive disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Crohn's Disease, menopause, puberty and the list goes on.

Please note: Most homeopathic treatment is not intended to be instead of conventional medicine, but complementary to any treatment you are receiving from your GP or a Consultant. Most homeopaths have no medical qualifications, and therefore a responsible homeopath will never make a diagnosis on any medical condition, never ask you to come off any prescribed medication, and should encourage you to keep in contact with your GP during your treatment.
